I had the privilege of participating in the 12th Annual Colores de Latinoamérica exhibition, presented by TD Sunfest, at The Arts Project (TAP) in London, Ontario. The exhibition opened on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018, and ran until Saturday, February 3rd, 2018, with the official opening night reception held on Friday 19th.
For this event, I showcased my Surreal Landscapes series. This collection invites the viewers to explore otherworldly, dreamlike environments, challenging the boundaries between reality and imagination. Each piece blends abstract forms with natural elements to create spaces that evoke a sense of wonder and contemplation. These landscapes explore how the mind shapes its own world through memories, emotions, and subconscious imagery.
Here are some photos of the opening night:

This year’s exhibition featured a vibrant collection of works from talented artists with Latin American roots, including Mao Correa, Mirna Chacín, Michelle Peraza from Toronto, Gina Duque from Guelph, Oscar Marroquin-Ponce, and myself, G. Harley Salamanca, from London.

A special thanks to Alfredo Caxaj for his continuous efforts in organizing this remarkable annual exhibition, and to Sandra De Salvo, the Executive Director of The Arts Project, for her unwavering support of the arts in our community. The opening night was filled with excitement, and it was amazing to see so many people come out to enjoy the work of such a talented group of artists. Thank you again family and friends who attended and showed their support!
